We understand that each homebuyer has specific preferences and needs. All of our features can be adjusted to fit your needs, tastes and budget. If you wish to add a geo-thermal heat pump or a tankless water heater or anything else that may be important to you, just let us know and we will gladly include that in your new home. We have also listed below a few Environmental "Green" options for you to consider in your home.
"Green" and Eco Friendly Suggestions
Laminate Hardwood floors: These floors use less wood than traditional wood floors and provide greater scratch resistance . Eliminate ALL natural gas & propane gas from your home. Using only electricity will save you money on your energy bills and not require additional equipment. Insulate between the rafters in your attic spaces. Initially this will cost more, however preventing cold air and hot air from entering your home will save you money on your monthly electric bill. RFID programmable outlets allow you to monitor the energy consumption of all connected appliances. These also allow you to program on/off times via your computer or smart phone thus saving you additional money on your energy bills while providing additional security for your home. I.E. program multiple lights to come on when you open your garage door. Rain Collection barrels: use the water collected during normal periods of rain to water your flowers and gardens. This minimizes water runoff to the Chesapeake Bay and reduces your utility bills. Consider a Pellet stove for back-up heat. These use compressed sawdust and typically burn cleaner and hotter than traditional wood burning fireplaces or gas fireplaces. Photovoltaic panels. Solar panels can be used to power specific appliances and in some cases the unused power can be sold back to the power company.
